Release Condition Restrictions

Release Condition restrictions allow you to release Content to students only if they meet a certain condition. Some examples of this could be:

  • Completing a Quiz
  • Submitting an assignment to an Assignment folder
  • Posting to a Discussion thread
  • Viewing other Content files

To add a Release Condition to a Content Module or Topic do the following:

1. In the menu on the left, click Table of Contents.

2. Click the Bulk Edit button located near the top of the screen.

Click Add Dates and Restrictions

3. Click Add dates and restrictions... located just under the name of the Content module or topic you would like to set restrictions for.

Please Note: Content topics will inherit the restrictions of the Content module they belong to.

From here, the steps will be different depending on whether you are creating a brand new release condition or are using a release condition that has been used in the course site previously.
