Class Display Options

To change grade book display options for course participants:

1. Click the Settings link located in the top, right corner of the screen.


Click the Class Display Options Tab2. Click the Class Display Options tab.


Display settings you can control on this screen are:

Managing View - Decimals Displayed: Enter the number of decimal places you'd like displayed on your screen. It is highly recommended that the number entered for this setting should match the number entered for Student View- Decimals Displayed as it can impact a participant's final grade. The Default Setting is 2.

Student View - Grade Details

The Default Setting has Points grade, Weighted grade, and Grade scheme symbol selected.

Important: If you will be dropping scores in your grade book and would like students to be able to see the "dropped" indicator when viewing their grades, you MUST have Points grade and/or Weighted grade selected. If one of these options is not selected, the students will NOT see the "dropped" indicator.

  • Points grade: Select this option to display the points grade value to participants.
  • Weighted grade: Select this option to display the weighted grade value to participants. Note: This option is only available if you are using a Weighted grade book.
  • Grade scheme symbol: Select this option to display the grade scheme symbol to participants.  Default is percent.

    Important: This option MUST be selected if you plan to import grades to UAccess Grade Roster at the end of your course. It must also be selected if you plan to use Text grade items in your grade book.

  • Grade scheme color: Select this option to display the grade scheme color to participants.

Student View - Decimals Displayed: Enter the number of decimal places you'd like displayed to participants. It is highly recommended that the number entered for this setting should match the number entered for Managing View - Decimals Displayed as it can impact a participant's final grade. The Default Setting is 2.

Student View - Characters Displayed: Enter the number of characters you'd like Text grade items to display to participants. The Default Setting is 15.

Student View - Final Grade Calculation: Select this option to display the final grade calculation to participants. The Default Setting is deselected.

Student View - ePortfolio Artifacts: Select this option to allow participants to transfer grades earned to their ePortfolio. The Default Setting is selected.
