Editing Checklists

Checklists are made up of three componants, each of which can be edited:

Option 1: Edit your checklist

Option 2: Edit a category used to organize items in your checklist

Option 3: Edit an item on your checklist


Edit your checklist

1. On the Checklists page, click on the drop-down arrow for the checklist you wish to edit, and select Edit.

2. On the Edit Checklist page, make the changes you want to the Checklist Properties area. You can do one of three things. You can:

  1. Change the checklist Name.
  2. Change the checklist Description.
  3. Set the checklist to open in a New Window when a user clicks to open it.
  4. Add or edit a Release Condition, by clicking on the Restrictions Tab. For more information about release conditions, visit the Release Condition Restrictions help page.

3. Click Save to save your changes and remain in the checklist, or Save and Close to save your changes and return to the main checklist page.

Edit a category used to organize items in your checklist

1. On the Checklists page, click on the drop-down arrow for the checklist you wish to edit, and select Edit.

2. Click on the name of the category you wish to edit in the Categories and Items area.

3. In the Edit Category Field, you can edit one of two things:

  1. The Name of the category
  2. The Description of the category


4. Click Save to save your changes and return to the Edit Checklist page.

Edit an item on your checklist

1. On the Checklists page, click on the drop-down arrow for the checklist you wish to edit and select Edit.

2.Click on the name of the item you wish to edit.

Select Item Name


3. In the Edit Item window, you can make the following changes:

  1. You can edit the Category in which this item is grouped.
  2. You can edit the Name of the item.
  3. You can edit the item Description.
  4. You can edit the Date that the item is due.
  5. You can opt to show/remove the item and its due date from the course Calendar.

4. Click Save to save your changes and return to the Edit Checklist page.
