Editing Levels & Criteria

Editing the levels and/or criteria of analytic and holistic rubrics is similar, but there are some differences.


Editing Analytic Rubric Levels & Criteria

To access the Levels and Criteria screen of an analytic rubric:

Click the down arrow to the right of the rubric you'd like to edit the levels and criteria of and select Edit Levels and Criteria.


Click the Levels and Criteria TabOr, if you are already viewing the rubric, click the Levels and Criteria tab.


Then to edit the levels and/or criteria of an analytic rubric:

Click the down arrow to the right of the name of the criterion or level you'd like to edit and select Edit Criterion or Edit Level respectively.


When editing a criterion, you'll be able to:

  • Change the Name of the criterion
  • Enter a Description for each of the levels in the criterion
  • Enter Feedback for each of the levels in the criterion (Participants are able to view the feedback once their assignment has been assessed using the rubric.)
  • Change the Score for each level of the criterion. This option is available only if Custom Points was select as the scoring method when the rubric was created.

When editing a level, you'll be able to:

  • Change the Name of the level
  • Enter a Description for that level of each of the criteria
  • Enter Feedback for that level of each of the criteria (Participants are able to view the feedback once their assignment has been assessed using the rubric.)
  • Change the Score for that level of each of the criteria. This option is available only if Custom Points was select as the scoring method when the rubric was created.

Editing Holistic Rubric Levels

To access the Levels screen of a holistic rubric:

Click the down arrow to the right of the rubric you'd like to edit the levels of and select Edit Levels.


Click the Levels tabOr, if you are already viewing the rubric, click the Levels tab.


Then to edit the levels of a holistic rubric:

Click the down arrow to the right of the name of the level you'd like to edit and select Edit Level.


When editing the level, you'll be able to:

  • Change the Name of the level
  • Enter a Description for that level
  • Enter Feedback for that level (Participants are able to view the feedback once their assignment has been assessed using the rubric.)
  • Change the Start Range (%) for the level. This option is available only if Percentages was select as the scoring method when the rubric was created.
