Personal Display Options

To change your personal display options for the gradebook, click the Settings link located in the top, right corner of the screen.


Display settings you can control on this screen are listed below. Note that changing these options does NOT impact participants' view of their grades. To change participants' view, visit the Class Display Options help page.

User Details
The Default Setting has ALL options deselected.

  • Username: Select this option to display participants' UA NetIDs in the grade book.
  • Email: Select this option to display participants' UA email address in the grade book.

Grade Details
The Default Setting has ONLY Grade scheme symbol and Grade scheme color selected.

  • Points grade: Select this option to display the points grade value in the grade book.
  • Weighted grade: Select this option to display the weighted grade value in the grade book. Note: This option is only available if you are using a Weighted grade book.
  • Grade scheme symbol: Select this option to display the grade scheme symbol in the grade book. If you are not using a custom grade scheme, then the symbol that displays is a percent.
  • Grade scheme color: Select this option to display the grade scheme color in the grade book.

Number of characters to display for text items: Enter the number of characters you'd like Text grade items to display on your screen. The Default Setting is 15.

Number of columns before user details repeat: Use this setting to decide how often you'd like participant information to repeat in your grade book. The Default Setting is 5.

Number of users before column header repeats: Use this setting to decide how often you'd like grade item and category names to repeat in your grade book. The Default Setting is 10.

Repeat Final Grade: Select whether you'd like the Calculated and/or Adjusted Final grades to appear at the beginning of your grade book. The Default Setting has ALL options deselected.

Default Grades Area: Use this drop down to select whether you'd like to land on the Enter Grades, Manage Grades, Grades Settings, or Grade Schemes screen when you click Grades in your course's navigation bar. The Default Setting is Manage Grades.
