Quiz Statistics

To view quiz statistics by participant:

1. Click the Statistics link.

2. Click on the quiz name to view statistics for that quiz.

 


For the remaining directions, click on the statistic type below that you would like to view.

User Statistics: Displays the score distribution based on the percentage of participants who achieved each score, the class average, and each participant's overall grade for the quiz.

Question Statistics: Displays the score distribution displaying the class average score for the question and the percentage of questions that achieved that score; the class average and standard deviation; and the average score, standard deviation, discrimination index, and point biserial for each question.

Question Detail Statistics: Displays each question from the quiz along with the difficulty, the correct answer and the percentage of times each answer was selected; as well as the average grade, standard deviation, point biserial, and discrimation index; 



User Statistics

Click the User Stats tab

 

 

 

From within the User Stats tab you will have the following options:

Export to CSV file: Click the Export to CSV button to export to the User Stats to a CSV file. The file generated when exporting from the User Stats tab contains a list of each participant with the score they achieved on their quiz attempt, the class average and the class standard deviation. To see what this CSV file would look like for the screenshot above, download the export file here.

User Statistics: This section shows a Score Distribution containing a graph showing the Final Grade (%) earned on the quiz on the X-Axis and the % of participants that earned that score on the Y-Axis and the Class Average score and standard deviation for the quiz.

All participants that completed an attempt at the quiz are listed in this section. Use the Search For box if you would like to search for a specific participant. The blue Show Search Options link enables you to specify whether you want to search by First Name, Last Name, User ID or any combination of the three.

Question Statistics

Click the Question Stats tab


 

 

From within the Question Stats tab you will have the following options:

Export to CSV file: Click the Export to CSV button to export the Quiz stats by question in a CSV file. The file generated when exporting from the Question Stats tab contains a list of each individual question with the average score achieved and statistics shown in table on screen, as well as how many attempts were made at each question.To see what this CSV file would look like for the screenshot above, download the export file here.

Question  Statistics: This section shows the Score Distribution containing a graph displaying the Final Grade (%) earned on a specific question on the X-Axis and the % of questions that had that score on the Y-Axis and Class Average score and standard deviation for the quiz.

The table of questions shows the  average score achieved by participants as well as standard deviation, discrimination index, and point biserial for each question the quiz.

To view a particular question, click on the name in the Question column.

Question Detail Statistics

Click the Question Details tab

 

 

 

From within the Question Details tab you will have the following options:

1. Filter by date: If you would like to filter the statistics that are shown by the date the participants took the exam you can do so by checking the Has Start Date and/or Has End Date boxes to match the date range you would like to view. Once the dates are set click the Apply box to filter the results.

2. Export to CSV file: Click the Export to CSV button to export the Quiz stats by question to a CSV file. The file generated when exporting from the Question Details tab may contain large amounts of data, depending on the quantity and types of questions used in the quiz, as it shows statistics for every answer to each question in the quiz. 3. Question Statistics: This section shows the number of responses received for each question, the percentage of each answer that was selected or given by participants, as well as the average grade, standard deviation, point biserial, and discrimination index for each question.


Please note: Standard deviation, point biserial, and discrimination index statistics are not available at the question level when your quiz contains a random section.
