Checklist Overview

The Checklist tool allows you to keep track of things within a D2L course site. Checklists must be set up by the instructor of the course.

To access the Checklist tool, click the Checklist link in the navigation bar located near the top of the screen.

Survey Overview

The Surveys tool is used for online surveys.

To access the Surveys tool, click the Surveys link located in the tan navigation bar near the top of the screen.

Please Note: The Surveys tool is not loaded into D2L course sites by default; the instructor of the course has to set it up and allow students access. If you don't have access to this tool in a D2L course site and believe you should, you will need to contact your instructor directly.

Quizzes Overview

The Quizzes tool is used for online quizzes, exams, homework assignments, etc.

To access the Quizzes tool, click the Quizzes link located in the navigation bar near the top of the screen.

Click Quizzes link


In your list of quizzes, you can see the following information:

1. The name of the quiz, exam, assignment, or other activity

Adobe Connect Overview

Adobe Connect allows for your instructor to create a virtual classroom within the D2L course site. It also allows you to create your own "study" rooms where you can communicate and collaborate with other students in your class.

To access Adobe Connect, click the UA Tools menu in the navigation bar at the top of the screen and select Adobe Connect.

Grades Overview

The Grades tool allows you to view your assignment grades for a course. What you are able to see in the Grades tool may vary from course to course as the information that is available to students is at the discretion of the instructor. If you have any questions regarding your grades, please contact your instructor directly.

To access the Grades tool, click the Grades link located in the red navigation bar near the top of the screen.

Glossary Overview

The Glossary tool usually contains terms that instructors frequently use in their course.

To access the Glossary tool, click the Glossary link in the tan navigation bar located near the top of the screen.

Please Note: The Glossary tool is not loaded into D2L course sites by default; the instructor of the course has to set it up and allow students access. If you don't have access to this tool in a D2L course site and believe you should, you will need to contact your instructor directly.

FAQ Overview

The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) tool usually contains questions that instructors are frequently asked and their answers.

To access the FAQ tool, click the FAQ link in the tan navigation bar located near the top of the screen.

Assignments Overview

The Assignments tool allows you to electronically submit individual and group assignments for a course. It also allows you to see any feedback, grades, or files an instructor may have left for you.

To access the Assignment tool, click the Assignments link located in the navigation bar located near the top of the screen.
