Connecting UA Google Apps to D2L

Students can connect their UA google apps account to their D2L courses.  Once the connections is made students have easy access to their email and Google Drive from within their D2L course sites.  Once students connect their google account documents from Google Drive can be submitted to submission folders.

If the instructor has added the Google Apps widget to the course home page you should see:

Binder Overview

Desire2Learn Binder is a free tablet application that allows users to download D2L course content to their tablet andorganize and annotate organization and annote the downloaded documents. Some of the things you can accomplish with Binder:

  • Fetch Documents: You can download documents from your D2L courses

  • Annotate Documents: An interactive annotation wheel allows you to highlight, take text notes, strikeout and highlight text, and create freehand notes.

Google Apps

Google Apps (Google Mail and Drive) is now integrated  into D2L.  All UA students email is through Google and they have access to the Google suite of applications (Google Docs, Drive, Calendar etc.)  The integration with D2L allow students to easily access their email inside a D2L course and it allows them to submit files to submission folders from their Google Drive.
