Exporting a Portfolio

If you would like to export some or all of your ePortfolio to a ZIP file do the following:

1. Click the ePortfolio link on the My Home navigation bar to access ePortfolio

2. Click the My Items link

3. Click the More Actions button and select Go to Import/Export page.

4. Click the Export button.

At this point you can choose to export all items in your ePortfolio, or you can opt to export only specific items. Click the link below that corresponds with the type of export you would like to perform:



Export All Items

This section continues from step 4 at the top of the page.

5. Click the All Items link.

6. Review the items to be exported. If you see anything you would prefer not to export click the red X to the right of the item to exclude it from the export.

 

 

 

 

 

7. Click the Export button to initiate the Export process.

8. Click the View progress of the export package link to get your export file.

9. Within the pop-up window that opens, click on the link for the name of your export package.

10. Click Close once you have confirmed the file has downloaded to your computer. 

The file should be downloaded to the Downloads folder of your computer or device (unless you have specified an alternate download location, in which case check that location).

You can use this ZIP package to import the file into any University that uses D2L. You can also take your ePortfolio with you after graduation and access it free forever by creating an account at: https://www.mydesire2learn.com/  . Once you have created your account you can import this export file to have complete access to your ePortfolio.

Export Selected Items

This section continues from step 4 at the top of the page.

5. Click the Selected Items link.

6. Click the Add Items link.

7. Place a check-mark next to each item you would like to include in the export package, then click the Add button.

Tip: If you have a large ePortfolio you can change the number of items per page to fit all items on a page (up to 200).

8. Review the items to be exported. If you see anything you would prefer not to export click the red X to the right of the item to exclude it from the export. Alternately, if you missed something in the export package click the Add Items button to return to the previous page to add additional items.

 

 

 

 

9. When finished, click the Export button to initiate the Export process.

10. Click the View progress of the export package link to get your export file.

11. Within the pop-up window that opens, click on the link for the name of your export package.
